Chauntay Berryman Receives Sunflower Award

Outstanding members of the Ohio’s Hospice staff are recognized every quarter with the Bouquet of Recognition Awards. The Bouquet of Recognition Award honorees personify the qualities found in the Mission and Vision of Ohio’s Hospice and are the foundation upon which a remarkable patient experience is built. These staff members consistently demonstrate excellence through their expertise and extraordinary compassionate support for patients and families. They are recognized as outstanding role models in our hospice community. 

Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton Personal Care Specialist Chauntay Berryman is the newest recipient
of the Sunflower Award.

Chauntay’s teammates have showered her with expressions of appreciation for her exemplary patient care and hospice heart. They consider her an amazing asset to their team.

“Chauntay is exceptional in so many ways. She is calm, quiet, patient, hard-working, conscientious and kind,” one of her teammates wrote in the nomination form. “She lovingly cares for each patient on her assignment like they are the only one she has to care for.”

Another teammate thanked her for her dedication to her patients. “Thank you for always taking such good care of the patients,” the colleague wrote in the nomination form.

A third teammate praised Chauntay for her kindness. “I appreciate the kindness and care you provided the patient you were with today,” the teammate wrote in the nomination form. “She looked so happy when you took her for a walk.”

We are so honored to have Chauntay as a member of our care team. Her dedication and passion for patient care reflects the highest commitment to our hospice mission. Thank you, Chauntay.
