Patient Care Suite Information

Every Patient Care Suite is private. Most have a private restroom. Each Suite has an individual thermostat for temperature control. Suites also have special sound equipment that permits patients and families to listen to music, meditation or prayer readings of their choice. Light therapy options for relaxation are also available in each Suite. Patient Care Suites are cleaned daily.

While we regret any inconvenience, our Hospice House facility and grounds are smoke-free for the health of our community. Patients are permitted to smoke in our summer house with permission from their doctor. We have designated public smoking areas at the perimeter of our campus for guests. Please ask a member of our staff to direct you, or look for the red umbrella over outdoor tables on the outskirts of our campus.

Our campus is a secure area. Parking areas are monitored by security camera. Security escort services are available to provide transportation to your vehicle. Visitors are invited to walk the grounds and enjoy the courtyards and ponds, but to be aware that at designated times our external doors have alarms that are activated. Signs are posted to alert visitors when alarms are in service. Please report any security issues to the nurse’s station immediately to enable us to quickly address any concerns.

Food Service

For your convenience and comfort, Carole’s Café on our Garden Level offers breakfast, lunch and dinner options. Our Café is open seven days a week from 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Menu items are posted daily. Family members can also order from the patient menu and pay for meals. Please ask for details about this meal service at the nurse’s station.

Our Solarium, located in the Garden Levelconnecting hallway between the Colp and Shaw buildings, is open at all times. The Solarium serves as a beautify, a seasonal reminder of spring and summer even on the most blustery and cold winter days. Visitors are invited to plant cuttings from our Solarium to keep as remembrances of loved ones.

A library of reading materials is available for the use of patients and families. It is located at the bottom of the stairs in the Shaw Building.

Meditation and Prayer Chapel

For those who would enjoy a quiet spot for prayer or meditation, our chapel is located in the Colp building. Our outdoor labyrinth, located outside the Colp building, also offers a lovely, natural setting for prayer or meditation.

Our Grounds

Our campus is designed to provide peace, comfort, and pleasure to patients and their families. Every Patient Care Suite includes a beautiful view of nature and the colorful gardens that grace our grounds.
