Heather Kyer of Ohio’s Hospice of Dayton is the recipient of the most recent Carnation Award, presented to staff members in clinical support roles.

Heather Kyer was cited by a colleague who writes she values Heather’s “sincerity, admires her hospice work ethic and feels thankful to be on one of her teams.”

Heather serves as a Team Leader for home care staff and has demonstrated her “compassionate nature and her willingness to help,” says the nomination. “She meets patients and staff needs by attending deaths, conducting interdisciplinary team meetings and covering nurses on initial, routine and complicated visits… Heather is pleasant, kind and understanding, not to mention competent. She is very supportive and responds with a good attitude when a teammate needs help. Heather communicates with staff and invites communication no matter what the issue is…Our patients are much better served because of Heather’s efforts.”
