Support Groups & Individual Counseling
Support groups offer a chance to meet with others to find support and understanding for the challenges of life after loss. Pathways of Hope is the grief support service provided by Hospice of Dayton and Hospice of Butler & Warren Counties to anyone who has lost a loved one. Professionally licensed counselors or social workers lead Pathways of Hope grief support groups. Pre-registration is not required. The following groups meet regularly unless the meeting day falls on a holiday.
- Spouse Loss Groups – Widow and widower grief support groups (open to anyone in the community coping with the loss of a spouse)
- Parents Who Have Lost an Adult Child – Open to any parent who has experienced the death of an adult child.
- Adult Children Who Have Lost a Parent – Grief support for adult daughters and sons
- General Loss Group – Support for anyone (sibling, grandparent, extended family, friends and others) experiencing grief
