Shining Star – Lorraine Gilkison Honored
Lorraine always has positive energy while working with patients at the Widows Home of Dayton. She goes above and beyond for each and every patient. Her energy and positivity are inspiring. She truly cares, and you can see clearly that she loves what she does. She is always in great spirits and setting a wonderful example for the nurses in this building. She is one of a kind, and is being recognized for her dedication. She makes a difference in the lives of everyone around her. We would like to recognize Lorraine for the difference she makes.
Shining Star – Sharon Spruill Honored
Sharon Spruill received double honors this fall. She received the Cameo of Caring award from the Wright State University School of Nursing on October 20 recognizing front-line nurses for their caring, wisdom, dedication and advocacy. The same week she was honored by Hospice of Dayton for 25 years of continuous service. In her current roll as RN Hospital Care Liaison, Sharon is the first person Hospice of Dayton patients and families encounter. With her exceptional skills as a hospice nurse, Sharon is able to reassure patients and families that the next step of their journey will be filled with the exceptional support and commitment of the Hospice of Dayton team. Kudos to Sharon Spruill for her compassion and service to patients and families!
